Andrey Milekhin made a speech at the scientific seminar in Lomonosov Moscow State University

Andrey Milekhin, the President of ROMIR holding company, Doctor of Sociology delivered a presentation on «Statistics, Sociology, Big Data: triangle of conflict or of harmony» at the scientific seminar on Methodology and expertise of statistical research «Realistic modeling» in Lomonosov Moscow State University.

During his speech, Dr.Milekhin presented a single panel for the careful collection of data about a person and society and also a unique solution for data validation and data enrichment – Mile People Data Technology.

He noted the relevance of modern solutions in time of crisis of traditional research techniques as a result of change the structures in society.

«Face-to-face interviews become an expensive and difficult exotic survey method, at the same time, data collected by telephone and online interviews are insufficiently representative», speaker said.

He defined national longitudinal studies, monitoring and research panels as the key solutions to surmount the crisis. These tools allow for the examination of trends and changes in the psychological, social, electoral, economic processes or the phenomenon in time and in space.

Presentations during the scientific seminar were made by Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Dr. Prof. Alexander Auzan, Deputy Head of Federal State Statistics Service Dmitry Kenchadze, Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Scientific Research Institute of problems of social and economic statistics of Federal State Statistics Service» Rustam Hamzin.
