Media Transformation: Trust, Anxiety, and the Choice of Information
On March 27th, as part of the XV International Grushinsky Sociological Conference, TASS held a session titled "Media: Individualization and Interaction in the Modern World". The discussion was attended by leading experts in media, communication, and education, including Andrey Milekhin, president of ROMIR Research Holding.
During the session, Andrey Milekhin shared his important observations on the transformation of media consumption in Russia, relying on his extensive practical experience. He emphasized that despite the variety of information sources available, households are forming their priorities by selecting their preferred method of receiving news.
"We see that households that prefer traditional media have a lower anxiety index compared to those who prefer social media and new forms of communication," commented Andrey Milekhin.
The TASS session focused on discussing changes in the roles of media and social media, as well as how public trust in media has evolved in the digital era.
