ROMIR and St. Petersburg State University: a new level of cooperation in human knowledge
Saint Petersburg State University, which has been an official partner of ROMIR since this year, continues to hold a series of events in honor of its 300th anniversary. As part of the Graduate Day, one of the oldest universities in Russia held a series of meetings with its outstanding graduates, including ROMIR President Andrey Milekhin.
Recall that in March 2024, the ceremonial signing of the Agreement and the Internship Agreement between ROMIR and Saint Petersburg State University took place. ROMIR has similar partnerships with Lomonosov Moscow State University, Evdokimov Russian University of Management, and Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. However, scientific and practical cooperation with Saint Petersburg State University is of a special nature, since the University of the Northern Capital is Andrey Milekhin's home university; the ROMIR President graduated from the Faculty of Psychology at Saint Petersburg State University in 1986.
The main areas of cooperation were the participation of ROMIR specialists in educational programs, in the work of educational and methodological commissions, proposals for research topics, scientific consulting and review of final qualifying works. In addition to the scientific and educational component, the agreement implies the organization of practices, internships for students of St. Petersburg University in ROMIR with possible employment.
As part of the St. Petersburg University Graduate Day, a number of significant events took place, in which the President of ROMIR took part. The series of events was opened by a Panel Discussion dedicated to the concept of "university student", uniting students, employees and graduates of the University - its significance, community interaction, and transfer of experience. The discussion was attended by the Rector of St. Petersburg University Nikolay Kropachev, business and public administration leaders.
An equally important discussion took place as part of the discussion "Career Strategies in the Media Sphere". The participants discussed the vector of development of the media market, shared their experience in building a career and a personal brand in the media. In addition to ROMIR President Andrey Milekhin, the discussion was attended by President of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia Sergey Piskarev and General Director of Sankt-Peterburgskie Vedomosti Boris Grumbkov – all graduates of St. Petersburg State University.
