Hall-tests are used for product, package and advertising testing. This is a fast method to collect target audience opinions on benefits and drawbacks of the product, its features compared to the competitors and elements that shall be improved.
Romir conducts the hall-tests in the proprietary Testing Laboratory in Moscow.
This method, similar to the hall-test, is just distinct in the fact that the tests are consucted in the respondent's home. This method is usually employed if the long-term tests (a few days) are required.
This method includes an experiment in order to evaluate (test) electronic product interfaces, web sites, private and professional software. Testing is conducted as a group discussion or an interview with special equipment that allows measuring the following:
- Efficiency (work and learning speed);
- Labour-output ratio (positive results frequency);
- Satisfaction (evaluation of tool use).
This method is often used in combination with the eye-tracking. Depending on aims and tasks of the research, the method can be either quantitative or qualitative.
Face-to-face interviews (CAPI)
Face-to-face interview method is based on the direct contact between an interviewer and a respondent. Personal contact allows to answer tough questions and to use the visuals (cards, photos, packings, logos, etc.).
Romir offers various kinds of personal interviews depending on the research objectives:
- in-home interviews;
- on-site interviews;
- street-intercept interviews;
- in-store interviews.
In face-to-face interviews CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) technology is used most of all, i.e. polls are held with the use of the tablets with a pre-programed questionnaire. Either an interviewer is using a computer to submit respondent's replies or the respondent independently completes the pre-programmed questionnaire.
Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) is a technology that involves software-controlled and managed from your office phone interviews. Romir conducts all phone interviews through CATI technology.
CATI system offers the following benefits:
- quick response from the large sample in Moscow and other million-plus cities;
- high quality of data collection process, high speed of phone number databases processing;
- effective and fast phone interviews with complex transitions and automatic quota control
- easy-to-operate interface to record answers;
- elimination of interviewer errors;
- reliable data of high quality.
Romir staff, project manager and field supervisor control interviewers. We offer our clients an opportunity to monitor interview quality listening to the conversation on the dedicated phone line.
Both Romir and client bases are availiable for the conduction of teltphone interviews.
Online polls (CAWI)
CAWI - Computer Assisted Web Interview. Online research methods provide an opportunity to conduct quickly and at a reasonable cost all kinds of traditional research project as well as to apply innovative methods.
Through the online panel we can contact the most hard-to-reach audience located in all parts of the country. Feasibility and timeline of the project can be defined with high accuracy.
Romir Online Panel includes more than 1 million active Internet users from all Federal Districts, including 450K offline verifyied users.
Romir works on the private server with special software for online panel and all kinds of surveys and virtual focus group management.
Monitoring is a descriptive research method, which is used for the direct and organized record of the subject/group of interest behavior.
Monitoring of the consumers and customers along with the classic research methods gives an opportunity for the building of objective behavior patterns not according to the respondents but due to real actions:
- Patterns of interactions with a category, a product or a prospect;
- Consumption patterns;
- Patterns of navigation and purchasing in Point of Sale.
Monitoring can be conducted both with the help of the observers or with the use of software (installation of video cameras and automatic video coding).
Method and duration of the monitoring depend on the degree of survey target behavior changeability and environments limits.
Omnibus is a type of research project conducted simultaneously for several clients and with several objectives. This technology allows lowering the costs and reducing the time required to collect the data.
