A New Car. How Do Russians Gather Information About Tt?
A survey conducted by ROMIR using the "System for Analyzing New Car Buyers' Preferences" (САППА in russian) revealed the key sources of information influencing Russians' decision to purchase a car. The leading sources of information include:
- 22% rely on online sources, including 7% who use manufacturers' official websites and 5% who consult forums and online communities. Another 5% pay attention to social media and blog reviews.
- 14% rely on personal consultations, with 7% focusing on salespeople at dealerships and another 7% considering advice from friends and acquaintances.
- 8% look at official dealer websites for information.
- A small number (7%) make a decision after seeing a car on the road and being impressed.
Less significant were billboard ads (2%), magazine and radio ads (both 2%), and online shows and email newsletters (2% and 1%, respectively).
