About 90% of Russians do not plan new romantic acquaintances in the near future

86% of Russians do not plan to meet people in the near future to start new romantic relationships, a study showed* by Romir. 
Men and women voted equally in the survey: 86% of votes were against and 14% were in favor. The most positive answers were among Russians aged 18-24 (32%). 
At the same time, in the age category – 25-34 years old – only 11% reported plans to get acquainted to start a new relationship. The number of voters over 60 years of age is the same. 
Regionally, the most interested in new romantic acquaintances were the Siberian and Far Eastern (17%), as well as the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts (16%). The leading federal district in terms of the share of those who do not want to get acquainted is Ural, where 91% of respondents confirmed the absence of such plans.
*The survey was conducted on the basis of the Romir Consumer Scan Panel; a representative sample of 1.5 thousand Russians over 18 years old took part in it. Respondents were asked: “Are you planning to meet someone to start a new relationship in the near future?”
Romir Consumer Scan Panel is a unique technological development through which the company collects and analyzes data on the purchases of households and individual consumers. The panel sample represents the entire population of Russia living in cities with a population of more than 10 thousand people.
