Healthy Habits Are Gaining Popularity in Russia

03 February 2025

According to a ROMIR study, healthy ways to cope with stress have been growing in popularity among Russians in recent years. In the fourth quarter of 2024, 25% of respondents named healthy eating as a way to cope with stress, which is 4 percentage points more than in the same period last year.
In addition to healthy eating, the number of people turning to sports as a way to cope with stress has increased (19%). These trends are reflected in the structure of consumer spending, where spending on fresh fruits and vegetables has reached almost 12% of the total budget.

Growth is also observed in the category of personal care products, as people strive not only for internal but also for external well-being. Spending on chilled meat, poultry, eggs and prepared foods is also growing. Prepared food can be both a healthy and less healthy option, but it remains popular due to the time savings. These trends show that Russians are increasingly aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and are taking steps to improve their physical and emotional well-being.
