Romir: what Russians are buying for the May holidays

The research company Romir found out what Russians are planning to spend their money on during the May holidays.

The majority of Russians will spend the weekend on the occasion of the Spring and Labor holiday at home or at the country house (61%), and another third will go on a picnic.

Most of those who plan to spend more than usual these days expect to spend no more than 5,000 rubles. Most people will buy meat (40%), vegetables (37%), fruit (30%). Every fifth plans to buy alcoholic beverages. The same number will buy picnic goods, such as coals, braziers, firelighters, etc.

Only 7% plan to spend money on travel. 40% do not plan to spend money on May holidays.
